Family Friendly Fun

The 2023 Not-So-Scary Halloween event is scheduled to take place on Halloween evening from 5-7pm.

Join us for live music, magicians, a Fuller Street photo booth and Halloween characters. There will also be a costume contest and special offerings from many of our favorite eateries along the strip.

Books & Books will also be doing a live reading of the classic “It’s The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown” from 5:30-6:30pm.

If you are worried that Fido will be left out, think again. The Key Club is hosting a Yappy Hour from 5pm-7pm where you can bring your pets in their costumes and earn prizes and swag.

For The Grownups

A few years back, Coconut Grove used to be the home to the most sought after Halloween street party in the city. This year the party is back on, albeit in nightclub form at the three-level historic Cruz Building at 3157 Commodore Plaza from 9pm-1am on Friday October 27.

“If you grew up in Miami, ‘Halloween in the Grove’ was where you would likely meet all of your friends on Halloween weekend,” says founding partner Alexandra Corzo of A-List Events in Miami. “We want to bring that moment back, but with a grown-up nightlife vibe, like that of our beautifully renovated Grove.”

The event is slated to offer a “legendary vampire experience” within the historic venue with ornate staircases and interior balconies, red carpet arrivals, a rooftop courtyard and a premium open bar with butler passed hors d’oeuvres.

A portion of the ticket sales benefit Bring Change to Mind, a mental health organization for high school teens that was founded by actress Glenn Close. The organization is currently expanding throughout South Florida and our 150 high schools.

“Halloween is an expressive event, and creative expression while fun, can also be very therapeutic,” adds founding partner Ivan Hernandez of the Miami-based consulting practice Sociumship. “For this reason, we’re thrilled to benefit BC2M, while bringing back not just the Halloween we loved, but a premium nightclub experience to Miami in our new Coconut Grove.”

Tickets are $200 per person in limited quantity. Follow @HalloweenInTheGrove for updates.

Ever since they opened last summer, we have been in love with Narbona, the European gourmet market and food hall right here in the Grove. To grab themed sweet treats, fresh pasta and custom meats, you can visit them at 3015 Grand Ave Ste 116, Coconut Grove, FL 33133.

There really is no area of Miami that embraces the opportunity to celebrate each holiday quite like Coconut Grove. We hope to see you at one of these events!
