Downtown Miami

Downtown Miami, which is also referred to as the Central Business District, is an ever-evolving bayfront community in Miami that has experienced an extraordinary amount of new construction and growth since the early 2000’s. As one of the fastest growing communities in South Florida, Downtown Miami has demanded further residential and commercial development over the years, and developers have stepped up to the plate and delivered. Downtown Miami now offers a variety of residential condo living options, an abundance of entertainment for all ages, amazing dining choices, great walkability and public transit.

While many visitors and newcomers to Miami may not truly understand what locals refer to as ‘Downtown Miami,’ it is necessary to briefly explain the area to clarify that it is just a neighborhood within the Greater Downtown Miami area.

Greater Downtown Miami is a vast 3.8-square-mile area in Miami-Dade County that is located between Interstate 95 on the west, Biscayne Bay on the east and includes several distinct neighborhoods. These communities are referred to as Downtown Miami, Brickell, Wynwood, Edgewater, Midtown, Design District and historic Overtown. So, to again clarify, when we talk about Downtown Miami on MiamiCondos.com, we are only referring to the Central Business District which includes the area from the Miami River to the south and the MacArthur Causeway to the north.
